Carburetor "Solex" is one of the most versatile devices that are installed on engines with up to 2 liters. The advantages of these carburetors is simplicity of design, the possibility of its installation on motors with longitudinal and transverse, the cheapness and abundance of spare parts. In recent years often practiced replacement of worn import carburetors new carburetors "Solex". Such a change is made in the case where repair of the old carb is too expensive or not possible at all. The old foreign cars with the new "Solex" get a second life. But "Solex" like any other carburetor has its own "birth defects". 1. Threaded mounting the solenoid valve is sealed with a rubber-load sleeve. Because of the rigidity of the sleeve during tightening the valve is a big load on the threads in the carburetor body. Therefore, frequent failure is the failure threads in the carburetor body, spontaneous untwisting valve or incomplete twisting the valve. Any of these faults leads to a noticeable increase in fuel consumption and a deterioration of driving performance vehicle.
